Frances has lived in Chesham for over 20 years. With a career in Social Housing, she is passionate about the benefits of good, affordable housing, access to appropriate social care and timely support and services for young people. Currently Chair of the Chesham Youth Centre, she is also an active supporter of the Chiltern Toy Bank.

Chesham has been Nazaqat's family home for over 15 years and his two children attend local schools. He has a business with his brother in Ley Hill. In his spare time he enjoys cricket and badminton. Nazaqat says “I love where I live in the Ridgeway Ward, and I want to represent the community on Chesham Town Council to speak up for all our local residents.”

Mohammad is proud to call Chesham his home, where he has lived for the past 28 years. He is deeply committed to public service. He says “I have been actively involved in our community, working with local groups and organizations to make our town a better place for everyone. “Whether it's supporting local businesses, improving transportation links, or ensuring our community facilities are accessible to all, I'll be a voice for our residents and a champion for our area.”

Richard has lived and worked in Chesham for the last 30 plus years. He says “Bringing up my family in this area and seeing the town develop has been nothing short of a privilege. I am committed to developing this town even further and helping residents to improve the community they live in.”

Mohamed and his family moved to Chesham 11 years ago. He enjoys living here, having excellent schools for his kids, regular markets, annual events, and beautiful parks and friendly residents. He says “I want to make a personal contribution whenever there is an opportunity to make a positive change. For example, cleaning litter from our streets, supplying the community fridge, or tackling anti-social behaviour. There is always something positive to be done. And that is why I am standing to be a Town Councillor. “

Kris Ochedowski, is a proud member of Chesham’s post-war Polish community with a background in teaching and years of local volunteering. He says “I know how essential small businesses are to the heart and economy of our town. I’m committed to inclusive, transparent decision-making that supports local enterprise, young people, and a thriving future for all of us in Chesham.”

Mo Fayyaz

Mo has proudly called Chesham home for 57 years. From serving as Mayor twice, to volunteering at the Chesham food bank, to being a Chairman at Chesham in Bloom. He has spent decades working for our community. Awarded the British Empire Medal for his service, he is deeply committed to Chesham’s future. He understands our challenges because he has lived them. Mo says “I always put Chesham first. Let’s keep moving forward, together.”

Hilary Haworth

Hilary Haworth

Hilary has lived in the north of Chesham since 2003 and her three children all went to local schools. She worked for nearly 20 years as a music teacher in Chesham and now is part of the support staff in a Buckinghamshire school. Hilary is involved in local churches and volunteers with community organisations in the town. She says: “I love living in Chesham and I am keen to use my skills and experience to give back to the town. I am especially interested in environmental issues such as the health of the river Chess and other chalk streams, our green spaces and ensuring

Nida is standing to serve you as your next Hilltop councillor. A GP by profession, she lives in Chesham with her family. She says “My priorities are what matter the most to you and I will work hard to represent your voice. I’m here to listen and act on your behalf.”

Alan has lived in Chesham for more than 40 years with his wife and family. He has represented Lowndes ward on Chesham Town Council and the former Chiltern District Council. He wants to make the councils work harder and achieve more for the people of Chesham.

Parveiz has over 45 years of dedicated service to the people and events of Chesham. He was proud to serve as a Town Councillor over the last four years. He Says “I’m standing again to continue working hard for our community. I believe in putting Chesham first, every time.”

Dominique is a parent and a school teacher. She has lived in Chesham for 5 years. She says “Chesham is a great town, but it could be even better! That's why I'm standing for the Town Council. We need improvements to the drains, the pollution, the schools, the high street and all public services for one of Buckinghamshire's largest towns.”

Aamna was born and educated in Chesham. She says “Chesham holds a very special place in my heart. This town, its people and its sense of community have shaped who I am. Now, I hope to give something back. I would be truly honoured to represent our wonderful community and do my part to make a positive difference.”

Hilary Bates

Hilary is a dedicated musician who lives in Chesham. She was born and raised in Buckinghamshire, with short forays to Kenya, South Wales, London and the USA before returning home. Her experience in management and finance would make her a real asset as a Town councillor. She says “I am passionate about making Chesham a nicer place to live, Most important of all, I am capable of behaving like a terrier with people who need pushing in order to get things done!”

Justine has lived in Waterside for over thirty years and has raised her family here. Justine says “I was re-elected to the town council in 2021 and have been honoured to have spoken out for our community and in particular our beautiful River Chess, play areas, and the outdoor pool – it would be a great honour to be able to continue.”

Tom has lived in Buckinghamshire all his life. He spent a decade supporting the Chesham Youth Centre and is currently a Trustee of the Weedon Almshouses. He hass also worked as part of Srah Green MP’s casework team supporting local residents from across Chesham and Amersham.

Sevgi Arslan

Sevgi moved to Chesham four years ago. She is passionate about reviving the fortunes of our High Street and about protecting our precious local environment. “I also want to see proper policing in Chesham again. Speeding cars and other antisocial behaviour needs to be stopped. Local residents deserve better than the current worrying situation.”
