Save Whielden Street
Join our campaign to save Whielden Street from Development
Local Liberal Democrat councillors are fighting hard to fend off a planning application on the Green Belt behind Whielden Street, and we need your support.
Years of delay by the Conservative-led Buckinghamshire Council in producing a Local Plan have left our local countryside vulnerable. Without a proper plan in place, speculative developers are targeting open spaces that are vital to the character of Old Amersham.
Amersham needs sensible, well-planned housing, but building over our precious Green Belt next to historic local landmarks is the wrong approach.
Our local councillors successfully made the case to refuse this application at the planning committee, but the developers have now appealed. We need to demonstrate strong community backing to convince the Planning Inspectorate to uphold the refusal.

Save Whielden Street: Stop the Green Belt Development
We call on Buckinghamshire Council and the Planning Inspectorate to stand with local residents and reject all development on the Green Belt land behind Whielden Street.
